Plomari is a working town unspoilt by mass tourism. Although tourists are
welcomed, it thrives through it’s Ouzo and Olive Oil industries and does
not go to sleep when the last visitor leaves. The taverna’s, ouzeries and
kafeneions are charming and frequented by the villagers. The seafood from
the gulfs or Gera and Kalloni is delicious and inexpensive, and the lamb
and beef from the centre of the island is tender and sweet. Enjoy a
traditional Greek meal washed down with one of the many local ouzo’s – and
wander home along the winding cobbled roads for a siesta in the cool of
one of our luxurious houses.
