Cath and Rob are English musician friends of ours who live in a pretty little country house in Plomari with a stream running by, surrounded by small market gardens and stone walled fields enclosing horses and goats.
They very kindly allowed us to stay in their country idyll for the months that we were renovating Philoxenia Secret Escape. We loved it, but as the days got longer and warmer, the evenings heralded a host of mozzies and bugs of all sorts. Out came the citronella, fly swatters and scented candles – and we were happy to share the balmy evenings with the visitors.
Cath & Rob spent a few chilly days during lockdown in the UK writing and performing "The Bug Song" – a witty testament to these pesky critters.
