We're Henry and Sally. We fell in love with Plomari when we were moored in the harbor and were caught in a very big earthquake. The friendliness of the locals after the earthquake was wonderful and the simple, old fashioned nature of the town captivated us.
Even when we are sailing, we are always contactable (sometimes you might wait a day or two for a reply) so please email or call us to find out more, check availability or make a booking.
When Sally chanced upon the unspoiled Ballots Heights nature reserve on the Garden Route 15 years ago, she was entranced, and in a short while bought the smallest but most beautiful piece of land, hidden away next to the forest with splendid views of forest, fynbos and ocean. She commissioned world renowned architect Peter Rich to design a house of glass and wood that would allow birds to fly in one side and out the other. No 23 - The Hidden House, is a sublime space that many have fallen in love with. It has won awards, been written up in magazines, studied at universities, and for the last six years, it has become the home of Sally and her architect husband Henry when they are not sailing in the Med in their boat Pegasus.
